Zeewolde, the Netherlands, 28 September 2009 - Spyker Cars N.V., manufacturer of exclusive premium sports cars, announces today that Frans Liebregts (63), Chief Operational Officer (COO), will retire on 31 December 2009 and, having prepared his team for his intended departure, will not be succeeded. His tasks will be absorbed by his second in commands.

Frans Liebregts joined the Supervisory Board of the company in May 2004. After retiring from his job at Cogent Power, he became COO in July 2008 to put his vast experience in the production side of the automotive industry to work and transfer his knowledge to the management. That task has now been accomplished and therefore the time has come to retire.

Victor Muller, CEO, said: "We owe a lot to Frans, who has been instrumental in getting our operations to the next level of professionalism. Under his guidance we have managed to achieve serious cost savings and implemented processes to develop and produce our cars more cost effective. His work is now continued by the management level he handed his know how to and we are grateful for that".
