TIE Kinetix N.V. (“TIE”) reports that as of October 1, 2013, it commenced the projects SAM and ALFRED, which are funded by the European Union. TIE Kinetix will receive research funding amounting to EUR 735k for SAM and EUR 500k for ALFRED.

The project SAM (Socialising Around Media) is led and concepted by TIE Kinetix and started in October 2013. SAM will last for 37 months with 9 partners participating. The amount of EUR 3mln is funded by the European Commission and further investment are done by technology partners, industrial users and research institutions. Simultaneously, TIE Kinetix also started the project ALFRED (Mobile, personalized content assistant for elderly people), which is led by Ascora and will last for 36 months with 11 partners participating. Total project fund for ALFRED amounts to EUR 4.4mln.
