In the midst of the wests' current obesity crisis, there is a bigger demand than ever for products that can help aid weight loss. Above appearance reasons, obesity is proven to result in chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
Cosucra, a natural ingredient processing company, have identified the top 5 current weight management health trends, and claim that their new health products, Fibruline chicory root and Pisane pea protein are applicable to each of these trends, and when used in combination, could help consumers loose weight.
Current weight management trends include increasing the consumption of protein, better management of portion control, avoiding food villains such as fat and sugar, following diet meals and plans and managing levels of blood sugar.
Cosucra claim that its pea protein, Pisane, competes with other protein products on the market, many of which are dairy based. Due to its neutral tastes, and the fact it is GMO-free and that it’s not listed as a major allergen could appeal to consumers looking for plant based protein products and foods as part of a high protein diet.
Cosucra also claim that Fibruline, their Inulin product, is a good tool for the management of blood sugar levels. They say that the indigestible carbohydrate has a GI close to 0 and doesn’t impact on blood glucose response. It can also be used to replace sugars, making it ideal for those looking to lower their intake of sugar as well as stabilise blood sugar.
