Ludwigshafen, Germany – June 29, 2015 – BASF will lift Force Majeure declared on May 21 for ethylene oxide (EO)-based products produced in Europe in the portfolio of Home Care and Industrial & Institutional Cleaning, Formulation Technologies, AgChem Additives and certain EO-based products in the portfolio of Personal Care as of July 10, 2015.
BASF announced the lifting of Force Majeure for EO as of July 1, 2015. With the improved ethylene oxide supply situation the production of EO-based products is ramping-up. Consequently, Force Majeure will be lifted as of July 10 for all affected EO-based products in the portfolio of Care Chemicals.
All customers are currently being informed about the improving supply situation of their affected products.
