. ESPERANZA SHAREHOLDERS VOTE IN FAVOUR OF PLAN OF ARRANGEMENT WITH ALAMOS GOLD

Esperanza Resources Corp.'s shareholders have voted at Esperanza's special meeting of shareholders to approve the previously announced plan of arrangement with Alamos Gold Inc. whereby Alamos will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Esperanza.

The arrangement was approved by 96.25 per cent of the votes cast by shareholders of Esperanza at the meeting.

Esperanza will apply for a final order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia approving the arrangement. Subject to receipt of court approval, the arrangement is expected to close on or about Friday, Aug. 30, 2013.
