. Will Showcase High-performance, Eco-friendly Materials for Quality Bedding
Tokyo, Japan, August 21, 2013 --- The Teijin Group announced today that Teijin Limited and Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. Opening a new window, the Teijin Group's fiber-product converting company, will participate in Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Opening a new window, Asia's largest home textile trade fair, which will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai from August 27 to 29.

The Teijin booth (stand W2D22) will present solutions for enhanced quality and comfort in the home through high-performance, environmentally friendly materials used in bedding products, including mattresses, comforters and pillows.

・elk polyester cushioning material
Teijin will showcase mattresses made with elk, a lightweight, durable, cushiony and breathable polyester material that makes an excellent substitute for urethane in a range of cushioning applications. It also is environmentally friendly because it does not generate cyanogen gas when incinerated.

・SOLOTEX polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber
Teijin also will showcase comforters and pillows made with SOLOTEX, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber that is highly soft, stretching, shape-retaining and resilient. As it is partially bio-derived, SOLOTEX helps to conserve fossil resources.

Teijin also will exhibit high-performance polyester batting materials that offer competitive features such as tick-proof, antibacterial, antibromic, sweat-absorbent and heat-retentive properties.
