His session entitled, ‘The Cure for VT Application Integration & GUI Headaches’ will discuss how to overcome some of the limitations of valuable, domain-rich OpenVMS applications that have VT terminal interfaces. The presentation identifies two common headaches: Green-screen user interfaces and SOA integration. LegaSuite® from Seagull Software is prescribed as the definitive cure. By exposing VT processes as SOA Web services for integration, and replacing green screens with a Web or Windows GUI, headaches quickly subside. No changes are required to the host application and little or no coding.
