Rood Technology Nördlingen, the German group company of Rood Testhouse International, announced, to co-operate in the field of ion migration and surface insulation resistance measurements with the company ESPEC, the world's largest manufacturer of environmental test chambers.

Based on the co-operation with ESPEC Rood Technology is again able to enlarge its service portfolio for evaluation, qualification and failure analyses by offering testing solutions for lead-free materials and processes. The AMI system (Automated Measurement System for Ion Migration) from ESPEC is optimally qualified for the identification of migration effects on and in PCBs.

The co-operation contract has been signed by Masaaki Ishida, Overseas Business Headquarters Officer from Japan (on the right side in the picture) and Dr. Anton Kotz, Managing Director, CTO (in the picture center) during a visit at Rood Technology.

Rood Technology and ESPEC will present benefits of the new and combined services in April during SEMICON Europa 2005 in Munich and during the SMT/PACKAGING/HYBRID in Nuremberg.
