KAS BANK has become General Clearing Participant for the Chi-X markets covered by a Central Counterparty (CCP) system. These markets are the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany. KAS BANK provides the settlement of all CCP trades with the Central Securities Depositories in these countries (Euroclear Nederland, CREST and Clearstream Banking Frankfurt. KAS BANK enables clients to link to multi-lateral trading facilities like Chi-X.
The implementation of MiFID will be 1 November 2007. On this date, KAS BANK’s systems will be fully compliant with MiFID in terms of best execution and reporting. MiFID also introduces multi-lateral trading facilities as an alternative platform for traditional exchanges. KAS BANK is now ready to link other multi-lateral trading facilities to its European clearing and settlement platform.
KAS BANK provides multi-market clearing and settlement services for a total of 16 European securities markets, offering a uniform reporting, a single credit arrangement (cross collateralisation, margin financing) and a single account structure, communication protocol and clearing agreement.
