De Bilt, 26 September 2014 - Grontmij N.V., a listed consulting & engineering company with a strong European presence, today announces the intended sale of its 24% stake in and associated receivables on the 'Ruimte voor Ruimte' sustainable development partnership to the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant for approximately € 8 m. Following negotiations on headlines between parties, the intended sale, will today be proposed by Gedeputeerde Staten for approval by Provinciale Staten. If approved and subject to final negotiations, Grontmij intends to sell and transfer its interest during the fourth quarter of 2014. The intended sale is part of the selected divestment programme of Grontmij's 'Back on Track' strategy. Grontmij expects the transaction to have a limited positive effect on its result for 2014.
'Ruimte voor Ruimte' is a partnership with NIBC, BNG Gebiedsontwikkeling and the province of Noord-Brabant. Grontmij has been involved in 'Ruimte voor Ruimte' since 2001 both as partner and consultant.
