AND Automotive Navigation Data, leading provider of worldwide digital mapping data for 'in-car' and personal navigation, has released new navigation maps data for Bulgaria. With these maps customers using the AND data can now develop the full range of applications such as internet mapping, fleet management and navigation.

The maps for Bulgaria include all necessary navigation features and are in line with the high quality specifications as defined by AND in cooperation with its customers. The digital map of Bulgaria covers more than 60,000 kilometres linking more than 4,000 Bulgarian cities and villages to the road network. The cities Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna and are available on street level allowing door-to-door navigation. The names are available in Unicode. Consequently, the data can handle both the local Cyrillic characters and the Latin alphabet.

To make navigation easier, more than 3,200 Points of Interest are included such as airports, petrol stations, rest areas and railway stations.
