Amsterdam, 30 December 2005. With reference to the Offer Memorandum, dated 14 September 2005,
Versatel Telecom International N.V. ("Versatel") announces that Mr. R.M. Raithatha will resign from his positions as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Versatel, effective 31 December 2005. Mr. Raithatha, who will remain available to Versatel as a consultant until 30 June 2006, is succeeded by Mr. P.G. Borgklint. Mr. Borgklint, who has resigned from the management boards of Tele2 Finance B.V. and Tele2 Netherlands Holdings B.V., was appointed as Managing Director of Versatel at the extraordinary
shareholders meeting held on 29 September 2005 subject, amongst others, to Mr. Raithatha’s resignation.
