GETRONICS TO PROVIDE GLOBAL ICT CUSTOMER SUPPORT SERVICES TO NOVARTIS
Innovative Solutions and Globally Consistent Infrastructure Drive Service Agreement
Today, Getronics announced a five-year ICT managed service contract with Novartis AG, a world leader in pharmaceuticals and consumer health.

Getronics will provide ICT support for approximately 80,000 Novartis associates worldwide. The services will be provided in local languages in support of mobile and office based workers. The agreement includes ITIL based incident, request and problem management for infrastructure technologies as well as business applications.

"We are extremely pleased to be serving an industry leader like Novartis in a global capacity. Getronics services fit Novartis’ needs very well with our global infrastructure and consistent technology and ITIL-based processes," said Getronics’ Vice Chairman Kevin Roche.

In early 2004 Novartis initiated an intensive analysis of qualified service providers, which resulted in the selection of Getronics as their partner of choice. The managed services contract will provide Novartis with a simplified, globally consistent delivery model and a globally integrated toolset. Novartis expects that Getronics will make significant contributions to their global ICT objectives of Cost Leadership, Operational Integrity, and Improved Business Value.
