Oyu Tolgoi contributes MNT136.8 million to the Academic Library at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum

To commemorate the 112th anniversary of National Independence, the Academic Library officially opened its doors within the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, signifying a noteworthy stride in the advancement of Mongolian studies. Oyu Tolgoi has contributed MNT136.8 million to collect around 500 rare books and research papers from all corners of the world with an aim to safeguard cultural heritage and promote global recognition of Mongolian studies.

S.Chuluun, Director of Chinggis Khaan National Museum, stated, “I would like to express profound appreciation for the generous support from Oyu Tolgoi, with a contribution exceeding MNT130 million. This substantial contribution has significantly enriched our library, enabling the acquisition of valuable research papers and books. Beyond enriching the library, this collaboration serves as a conduit for international scholars to delve into Mongolia's rich history and culture, elevating the significance of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum on the global cultural landscape. Oyu Tolgoi's support is invaluable to both the museum and the broader Mongolian cultural sector.”
