MARCH 3, 2014 -- ARCADIS (Euronext: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, has acquired inProjects, one of Asia's foremost project management firms. inProjects will become part of EC Harris, strengthening ARCADIS' presence in Asia and creating the region's leading program, project and cost management organization. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

inProjects employs circa 200 people across its network of offices in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore and India and generated net revenues of €11 million in 2013. inProjects provides project management services to a number of blue-chip clients in the retail, hotel, hospitality and leisure sectors including Adidas, Reebok, Swarovski, Citibank, Apple, Starbucks, Intercontinental Hotel Group, VF Group, Mövenpick, Hyatt, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and Las Vegas Sands.

Stephanie Hottenhuis, the ARCADIS Executive Board Member responsible for Asia said: "inProjects is a well-established business with a strong track record of success for world class clients. This deal clearly reflects our strategy to build and strengthen our leadership position in project management."

Today ARCADIS has over 4,000 people across Asia comprising ARCADIS, EC Harris, multi-disciplinary cost management consultancy Langdon & Seah and architecture and design firm RTKL. ARCADIS and inProjects have been long-term strategic alliance partners for a number of years, delivering project management services for multinational corporates across the region.

Graham Kean, Regional Leader, Asia at EC Harris said: "I am genuinely excited to welcome our new colleagues. inProjects is, put simply, the best at what they do and will bring an unrivalled degree of knowledge and expertise to our clients. We are seeing strong demand for a single provider to manage their footprint both within Asia and across the globe, so together we will be able to meet these needs and continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients wherever they need us to be."

Matt Fletcher, Group Managing Director at inProjects said: "This deal is great news for our clients and our people. Joining forces with ARCADIS gives our clients access to an even greater pool of skills and capability that will help them to meet the challenges they face on a day to day basis. Culturally ARCADIS' ambitions mirror our own, and I am confident that our people will enjoy the opportunity to learn from new colleagues and grow their careers within the larger company."
