Dutch biopharma company Crucell N.V. (Euronext, Nasdaq: CRXL; Swiss Exchange: CRX) today announced that supranational organizations awarded Crucell new contracts of $140 million for supplies of Quinvaxem® and Hepavax-Gene® for the period 2008 - 2009, bringing the total for the period 2007 - 2009 to $0.5 billion.

These contracts are in addition to the December 1, 2006 announcement for the award of over $230 million for Crucell's Quinvaxem® and Hepavax-Gene® vaccines, and the new contracts communicated on May 13, 2008 of $130 million for supplies of Quinvaxem® in 2008 and 2009.
