Grondstoffen werden goedkoper en dat zou positief moeten zijn. De kostprijzen voor fabricages worden dan aangenamer, maar beleggers name gelijk afscheid van die aandelen en dat gaven de indices gelijk een rode kleur.
Japan en nog enkele beurzen in de Oostmarkt dicht, maar de computergestuurde systemen draaien even goed door. Dat komt een juiste prijsvorming niet ten goede en ook de normale handel niet.
Dat de CME de dekking op het edelmetaal heeft verhoogd (13%)is een goede zaak, dan komt er meer stabiliteit in de prijsvorming en de speculanten kozen eieren voor hun geld en dekte hun posities in. Dat gaf prijsdruk, maar dat is meestal voor even. Laat je niet misleiden, want...
1 het tekort aan veel grondstoffen blijft, daar wees de CEO van CSM ook al op. Hun meer kosten zouden dit jaar tenminste EUR 200 miljoen zijn.
2 de schuldenlasten van de Eurolanden zijn niet minder geworden en sommige landen mogen zelfs langer doen met het wegwerken van hun schuld.
3 de aantrekkende Euro zal de export van de Eurolanden niet ten goede komen, met alle gevolgen van dien. Lees mindere exporten en trager herstel economie in de Eurolanden etc.
4 de tekorten in de VS zijn ook niet plots kleiner geworden.
5 indien alle producten die op rekening staan of verpakt in Puts, Trackers e.a., dan zullen heel veel tekorten pas duidelijk worden waar de TOEZICHTHOUDERS schuldig aan zijn. De Crisis van de TEKORTEN komt volledig op HUN rekening. Zij lieten alles toe, zonder de effecten op hun juiste waarden te hebben uitgetest (lees: controle op de werking ervan).
6 de schaarste wordt verstopt en dat hou je niet lang vol.
7 er zijn nog veel meer oorzaken aan te dragen niet met vorige week niet zijn gewijzigd.

Reuters) - ConAgra Foods Inc (CAG.N) may have to sweeten its bid for Ralcorp Holdings Inc (RAH.N) again after the low-priced food maker rejected the company's $4.9 billion takeover offer. Ralcorp, which owns Post cereals and makes foods that supermarkets brand as their own, also adopted a poison pill provision on Wednesday to fend off ConAgra's advances. ConAgra, the maker of Slim Jim meat snacks and Healthy Choice meals, offered to buy Ralcorp for $86 a share in cash, up from an earlier cash-and-stock offer of $82 a share it made in March. The company is betting that lower prices will remain attractive to U.S. consumers long after the economy recovers. After the rejection, ConAgra said it remained "very enthusiastic" about a deal.

The G-20 needs to “act decisively to moderate the volatility of oil and food prices,” the agency said in a statement as it released an annual report on Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok today. Oil has climbed 36 percent in the past year, with unrest in the Middle East and North Africa adding to supply concerns. The U.N. says rising food and oil costs threaten to drive millions more people into poverty in Asia, most severely affecting the populations of nations including Bangladesh, India and Nepal. Duitse industriële orders onverwachts gedaald
BERLIJN (AFN) - De orderontvangst in de Duitse industrie is in maart met 4 procent gedaald ten opzichte van een maand eerder. Dat blijkt uit donderdag gepubliceerde cijfers van het Duitse ministerie van Economische Zaken. Het cijfer was slechter dan economen hadden verwacht. Zij gingen in doorsnee uit van een orderstijging met 0,1 procent. In februari stegen de orders nog met een naar beneden bijgestelde 1,9 procent. Eerder ging het ministerie uit van een stijging van 2,4 procent in februari.

Silver’s 10-day historical volatility jumped to 79.39 yesterday, the highest since March 2009. The exchange has announced margin requirements four times in the past two weeks.

HELSINKI/FRANKFURT (AFN) - De Europese Centrale Bank (ECB) heeft het belangrijkste rentetarief stabiel gelaten op 1,25 procent. Dit maakte de ECB donderdag bekend na afloop van de maandelijkse rentevergadering. Vorige maand verhoogde de ECB voor het eerst in ongeveer twee jaar tijd de rente met een kwart procentpunt. De centrale bank zette de stap nadat de inflatie in de eurozone was opgelopen tot ruim boven de 2 procent. De bank hanteert een doelstelling voor de inflatie van net onder de 2 procent. Later op de dag geeft ECB-president Jean-Claude Trichet vanuit Helsinki een toelichting op het besluit. Daarbij wordt op de financiële markten scherp gelet op hints die erop wijzen dat de ECB in de nabije toekomst nieuwe rentestappen zal nemen.

De wereldwijde markt voor bedrijfssoftware zit in de lift. De totaalomzet groeide in 2010 met 8,5 procent tot 245 miljard dollar. In 2009 daalde de omzet nog met 2,5 procent ten opzichte van het jaar ervoor en kwam uit op 226 miljard dollar. Van de top-vijf spelers Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP en Symantec groeide de omzet van Oracle met 19,4 procent het hardst.

SAP zag de omzet met 13,9% groeien. De omzet van Symantec steeg met 2,6%.

Centrale banken beginnen goud in te kopen,
De Mexicaanse centrale bank heeft in februari en maart bijna 100 ton goud gekocht. Dat heeft de bank bekendgemaakt op zijn website, zo meldt the Financial Times.
Vooral opkomende markten zoals China, India en Rusland hebben hun goudreserves de afgelopen jaren flink aangevuld. De president van de Wereldbank suggereerde onlangs dat goud onderdeel moet worden van een nieuw internationaal monetair stelsel.

Applications for jobless benefits jumped by 43,000 to 474,000 in the week ended April 30, the most since August, Labor Department figures showed today. A spring break holiday in New York, a new emergency benefits program in Oregon and auto shutdowns caused by the disaster in Japan were the main reasons for the surge, a Labor Department spokesman said as the data was released to the press.

Ageas tekent beroep aan tegen vonnis in AFM-dossier
Ageas berichtte op 10 maart 2010 dat de Nederlandse Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) een boete had opgelegd aan ageas NV/SA en ageas N.V. (voor een totaalbedrag van EUR 576.000) voor wat de AFM beschouwde als ontoereikende communicatie door Fortis in juni 2008. Ageas betwistte deze boete maar heeft vandaag vernomen dat de beslissing van de AFM door de Rechtbank van Rotterdam wordt bevestigd. Ageas betreurt deze uitspraak en zal hiertegen beroep aantekenen bij de bevoegde beroepsinstantie in Nederland.

Wie controleert de controleur?
De AFM geeft op een normale vraag: "wie controleert het aantal verpakte aandelen (Producten) met het het vrije aantal aandelen van een bedrijf"?
Die vraag willen ze niet beantwoorden. Mogen wij de AFM dan een boete opleggen? Trackers, Puts, Turbo etc. daar zitten zoveel aandelen in verpakt en die zijn er tig malen niet!

The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index decreased to minus 46.2 in the week ended May 1, the lowest level since the end of March, from minus 45.1 the prior period. Another report showed claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly surged last week, raising the risk the improvement in the jobs market has stalled.
