Joost de Vries has informed Lucas Bols that he will leave the company in the course of 2020, having served as its CFO for almost 15 years. Joost has decided to progress his career into supervisory and consultancy roles. He will remain with the company as CFO at least until the end of the current fiscal year (until 31 March 2020). A search process to find the right successor has commenced.
Derk Doijer, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lucas Bols: "The Supervisory Board regrets that Joost has decided to leave Lucas Bols but we respect his decision. Joost played a vital role in the IPO process of Lucas Bols, the Passoã transaction and its subsequent integration. He secured the future funding for this successful expansion of the Lucas Bols portfolio and more recently successfully refinanced the company, ensuring sufficient flexibility for future developments. We thank Joost for his relentless dedication in the past 15 years and wish him all the best in the future.”
Huub van Doorne, CEO of Lucas Bols: “Working together with Joost has been a great pleasure. From the first steps of re-establishing the company in Amsterdam to setting up our own organisation in the US, Joost has been instrumental in building the company to where we stand today.”
Joost de Vries, CFO of Lucas Bols: “It has been a difficult decision but at this point I feel it is the right time to take a next step in my career and make a move to supervisory and consultancy roles, building on almost 40 years of experience. I feel privileged to have played a small part in the more than 400 years of history of this unique company. I look forward to continue working with Huub and the Lucas Bols team in the coming months to safeguard a smooth transition.”
