Greenstar Invests in Future with REgenerist
27th March 2009: Qurius UK, the leading provider of REgenerist based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV business application, has announced that fast-growing recycling-led waste management specialist Greenstar UK has become the latest company in the sector to invest in its solution.

Part of NTR plc, which has extensive renewable energy and waste management interests in Britain, Ireland and the USA, Greenstar UK operates across the UK, providing recycling and refuse collections services for 24 local authorities and nearly 400 blue chip commercial customers. REgenerist is the leading end-to-end business application for the recycling and waste management sector and is built on the award-winning Microsoft Dynamics NAV technology.

Greenstar has expanded its business through acquisition and green field site development. In this process, it has acquired businesses with different operational and financial systems. In the quest to streamline and improve overall business processes and financial management, Greenstar explored how an integrated business system could help meet these objectives.

Qurius have been working with Greenstar over recent months piloting the solution in its Leicester operation. Greenstar UK finance director Michael Topham commented: “Our selection process was rigorous. We looked at many solutions but REgenerist clearly stood out as the right one for our sector and our business. It proved itself in our Leicester pilot project by going live on time and within budget, and we’re confident that we can achieve our ambitious growth plans more quickly and efficiently by having REgenerist as our end-to-end business solution.”

REgenerist will replace Greenstar’s existing operating systems and is expected to go-live through 2009. Greenstar UK’s business systems manager David Gooding, who ran the pilot project, said: “We were confident that REgenerist had the functionality we needed to support our business growth. The pilot project proved that Qurius was the team to deliver the solution. We were impressed with the depth of knowledge that the Qurius team had about our sector.”

REgenerist offers a complete Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution which will provide Greenstar with a fully integrated business system across its UK operations, allowing full data transparency across all business units.

REgenerist will manage the financial functions within Greenstar. Additionally, all contracts, material movements, processing and transport will be managed through the single solution, creating greater operational efficiency.

By consolidating into one system, there is opportunity to standardise business practices, so ensuring that current and future expansion is carried out in a controlled fashion.

Jason Fazackerley, REgenerist business unit director at Qurius UK, commented: “At Qurius, we are passionate about the recycling and waste sector. The years of experience in our team allows us to take incredible technology and use it to create real competitive advantage for clients. Qurius is proud to be working with Greenstar as we believe it has an excellent strategy for success, while its sound business philosophy makes for a very strong partnership between our organisations.”
