Moscow, 23 October 2025 – Nornickel, the world’s largest producer of palladium and a major producer of nickel, platinum and copper, announces preliminary consolidated production results for the third quarter and nine months of 2025.
First Vice-President — Chief Operating Officer, Evgeniy Fedorov commented on the operating results,

«In 9M 2025, the output of all key metals slightly decreased compared to the same period of last year. That was due to a temporary decline in the mined
ore
volumes owing to the gradual adoption of a new mining equipment at Polar Division as a part of the import substitution strategy, change in the composition of the mined ore with an increased share of
disseminated ores
mined, as well as owing to the restocking of work-in-progress material.

Production of high-added-value products has been successfully launched after the annual scheduled maintenance works at the carbonyl nickel line within the nickel
electrolysis
shop of Kola Site. In addition, after completion of the reconstruction works the cobalt metal production shop has started its ramp-up.

We continue to execute on our major environmental projects at all Nornickel operating sites. A new gas cleaning system, enabling a highly efficient dust collection has been launched in the
refining
shop of Kola Site. As result, it is expected that sulfur dioxide emissions will reduce by almost 1,000 tons, or slightly less than 10% of 2024 emission level. In addition to the environmental benefits, the new dust cleaning system is expected to yield an economic benefit as non-ferrous metals collected during the dust utilization process will be recycled.
