Community organisations in the Pilbara region are invited to apply for the newly launched Fortescue Innovation Grants, offering up to A$25,000 in funding for projects that think outside the box and foster long-term, sustainable impacts.
The introduction of the Fortescue Innovation Grants will focus on funding sustainable and innovative projects, groups and initiatives which aim to provide a lasting impact in the region.
Fortescue’s Director Approvals, Communities and Environment, Warren Fish, encouraged organisations, both big and small, to embrace innovative solutions that go beyond business as usual to create meaningful change in their communities.
“We’re looking for a range of ideas that reflect the resilience and resourcefulness of the Pilbara,” he said.
“Projects such as solar lighting, digital signage, sustainable living workshops and innovative programs are exactly the kind of initiatives we want to support. These grants are about empowering community organisations to achieve sustainable solutions that positively impact both their communities and the planet.”
Grants are available to eligible applicants to support innovative community projects within the council boundaries of the Town of Port Hedland, City of Karratha, Shire of Ashburton and Shire of East Pilbara.
