Nortel Unified Communications Enhance Performance at Hilton Beijing
Converged IP Network Improves Guest Services and Network Reliability
BEIJING, CHINA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/19/07 -- Guests at Hilton Beijing, one of the city's premiere luxury hotels, are enjoying the benefits of unified communications from Nortel(1) (TSX: NT)(NYSE: NT) that put advanced information services at their fingertips.

The Hilton Beijing(2), which offers more than 360 rooms and suites in the heart of Beijing's commercial and diplomatic district, has been upgrading its network with a hospitality solution from Nortel that supports a range of unified communications capabilities. The technology integrates the hotel's in-house phone system, front-desk management system and broadband Internet services to provide unified communications for its guests and staff, anywhere, anytime.

The new network simplifies personalized communications services for
individual or groups, providing amenities such as voicemail, wakeup
calls and advanced information services that can be self-configured
by guests from touch-screen IP phones in their rooms. Hilton
Beijing's converged IP network meets the demands of the new era of
Hyperconnectivity, in which everything that can be connected, is
connected.

able to use in-room Nortel color IP phones to access Beijing tourist
information, weather, flight information, and other relevant

Nortel's hospitality solution for the Hilton Beijing is built on the
Nortel Communication Server 1000, a full-featured IP PBX that
provides a fully distributed converged network to support
business-critical applications including unified communications and
customer support. Guest rooms are equipped with the Nortel IP Phone
2007, which provides an easy-to-use color touch-screen interface to
access hotel services.
