Biorigin and Third Wave enter food fermentation partnership

14 Aug 2017 --- Third Wave Bioactives, a research company specializing in microbial technology, has announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Biorigin specializing in yeast, yeast extracts and other fermentation derived ingredients that enhance the natural taste, mouthfeel and umami of many foods.

Just last week, Biorigin became the first company in the world to obtain Bonsucro Chain of Custody Standard certification for fermentable sugar and yeast creams from sugarcane. You can read the full story here.

The team of researchers at Third Wave Bioactives will collaborate with Biorigin to expand into new market applications with additional fermentate products sold under the bioVONTAGE brand of Third Wave Bioactives and the Biogard brand of Biorigin. These fermented products can help maintain the quality of many perishable foods during shelf-life and can be used to help build unique and complex flavor profiles, making them valuable ingredients for food manufacturers today.
