Arcadis, de leidende wereldwijd opererende ontwerp- en consultancyorganisatie op het gebied van de natuurlijke en gebouwde omgeving, en InTech Dike Security Systems bundelen hun krachten in de nieuwe onderneming Dijk Monitoring Nederland. Een overeenkomst hierover is recentelijk getekend. Dat maakten Arcadis en InTech Dike Security donderdag bekend, zonder financiële details te noemen.

Dijk Monitoring Nederland VOF ondersteunt en adviseert beheerders met informatie over het gedrag van waterkeringen. InTech Dyke Security Systems is gespecialiseerd in het meten en verzamelen van actuele data over het gedrag van waterkeringen onder uiteenlopende omstandigheden. Hiervoor gebruikt het bedrijf diverse innovatieve monitoringstechnieken, zoals infrarood sensoren, deformatiemetingen op basis van satellietbeelden, multispectraal metingen, grondradar, EM metingen, stereofotografie, 3D laser scanning en in-situ metingen.

Dijk Monitoring Nederland combineert de inzet van deze nieuwere meettechnieken met bestaande technieken met als doelstelling om deze data te combineren en te verwerken tot belangrijke informatie voor beheerders van waterkeringen. Zo moeten mogelijke problemen al in een vroeg stadium worden voorkomen. Denk daarbij aan het opsporen van kwelsituaties die kunnen leiden tot piping.

Samen met de diepgaande kennis en ervaring van Arcadis op het gebied van waterveiligheid, normeringen en toetsingen, geotechniek/waterbouw en integraal ontwerp van waterkeringen, levert Dijk Monitoring Nederland nieuwe informatie voor betere advisering voor alle beheerders van waterkeringen. Het bedrijf gaat deze techniek ook internationaal uitrollen.

Arcadis recognized for Climate Change Transparency by CDP
(5 November 2015) - Arcadis (Euronext: arcad), the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, today announced it has been identified as a leader for the quality of climate change related information that it has disclosed to investors and the global marketplace through CDP, the international not-for-profit that drives sustainable economies. Arcadis has therefore been awarded a position on the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), released today in theFrance and Benelux edition of CDP's annual global climate change report. The news comes three weeks ahead of COP21, the UN climate change conference, when national leaders meet to agree a global deal to reduce carbon emissions and limit temperature warming.



Arcadis earned its position on the index by disclosing high quality carbon emissions and energy data through CDP's climate change program. The reported data has been independently assessed against CDP's scoring methodology and marked out of 100. Those organizations graded within the top 10% constitute the CDLI. Arcadis has scored 100.

At the request of 822 investors who represent US$95 trillion in assets, thousands of companies submit annual climate disclosures to CDP.
