Corbion nv (Euronext Amsterdam: CRBN) ('Corbion') maakt bekend dat de onderneming in gesprek is met Bunge Limited (NYSE: BG) ('Bunge') over de eventuele overname door Corbion van het aandeel dat Bunge heeft in de joint venture SB Renewable Oils. Vandaag heeft Bunge eveneens bekendgemaakt met Corbion in gesprek te zijn, in het kader van een strategische update die bij de publicatie van de jaarcijfers over 2017 werd gepresenteerd.

Corbion en Bunge zijn 50,1%/49,9% partners in SB Renewable Oils, een joint venture met een fabriek in Brazilië. Die is gespecialiseerd in de productie van uit algen gewonnen ingrediënten voor aquacultuur en diervoeding, zoals oliën die veel omega 3 bevatten.

De gesprekken verlopen constructief, maar of en wanneer ze tot een overeenkomst zullen leiden is onzeker.

Wij schreven dit weekend nog over de verschillende combinaties van Corbion, TerraVia, Bunge, Cargill, Total e.a. bedrijven. Dat er een overname gaat komen van Corbion is voor ons zeker, maar alleen wanneer en vermoedelijk dit jaar of begin 2019
Waarom ging de CEO de Ruiter slecht voor 2 jaar zijn contract verlengen!
En de CEO heeft/is nergens lang als CEO gezeten/geweest.
Waarom mocht de CEO zelf op onze vraag geen antwoord geven en deed de Voorzitter dat met een NIETS gezegend antwoord.
Er is al lang wat gaande bij Corbion.

De extra aandacht van XEA.nl heeft vermoedelijk dit PB tje eerder doen uitgaan.

Corbion nv (Euronext Amsterdam: CRBN) ("Corbion") announces it is in discussions with Bunge Limited (NYSE: BG) ("Bunge") regarding the potential acquisition by Corbion of Bunge's stake in the SB Renewable Oils joint venture. Today, Bunge has also disclosed these discussions, as part of a strategic update alongside the release of its year-end 2017 financial results.
Corbion and Bunge are 50.1%/49.9% partners in SB Renewable Oils, a joint venture that operates a facility in Brazil, specializing in the production of algae ingredients, such as Omega 3 rich oil, for aquaculture and animal feed.
While the discussions are constructive, it is uncertain if and when they will lead to an agreement.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — Corbion nv on Feb. 14 confirmed it is in discussions to potentially acquire Bunge Ltd.’s stake in the SB Renewable Oils joint venture. Corbion is a 50.1% partner, and Bunge is a 49.9% partner. SB Renewable Oils operates a facility in Brazil and produces algae ingredients.

“While the discussions are constructive, it is uncertain if and when they will lead to an agreement,” Amsterdam-based Corbion said.

Corbion completed the acquisition of San Francisco-based TerraVia, a microalgae ingredients company, on Sept. 29, 2017.

Soren W. Schroder, chief executive officer and director of Bunge, Ltd., White Plains, N.Y., spoke about the joint venture with Corbion in a Feb. 14 earnings call.

“It’s an investment we’ve had for a number of years, and we’ve continued to contribute to it,” he said. “The outcome of it so far is different than how we initially expected it to be. Initially, it was focused on developing specialty oils, tropical oils equivalents through algae.

“That turned out to be not necessarily the best path. The cost point was too high, and it developed or evolved into a specialty feed business, which is interesting, and it is making good progress, and it has successes as we described last year in October, but it’s not core to us, and for that reason, we’ve decided that it was better if we could hand this over to our partner at the moment and then focus additional capital spending on our core activities.”
AlgaPrimeDHA, a whole algae aquafeed ingredient produced by SB Renewable Oils, received the 2017 Global Aquaculture Innovation Award from the Global Aquaculture Alliance, which promotes responsible aquaculture practices through education, advocacy and demonstration.

IS DIT DAN GEEN MANIPULATIE? per 1 maart a.s zitten wij 56 jaar in het vak, maar dit kon niet in de jaren 1960 en later in 1970/80 ook niet!
Toezicht heeft zich goed bij de neus laten nemen en waar zitten de grootste HFT handelshuizen? JUIST in Nederland.
