Verrassend was de lage “opkomst” op mijn verzoek een alternatieve titel voor de de “Slotfase” column aan te dragen. Teleurstellend? Kennelijk hebben de meesten zich wel in deze “herhaal”titel kunnen vinden. Het woord “sprookje” viel het meest en heeft ook een iets positievere connotatie. Dus als niemand er bezwaar tegen heeft dan wordt “Sprookjeswereld” voor zolang het duurt de nieuwe titel.
Volgens van Dale betreft dit een wereld waarin “bovennatuurlijke wezens” optreden en dieren of dingen kunnen spreken. Wel, het gaat in deze context om puur “natuurlijke wezens” die in weerwil van de meest nadrukkelijke signalen op bovennatuurlijke wijze misbruik maken van onze – financieel/monetaire – leefwereld die straks ons nageslacht toebehoort. lees verder op

NN Group to call EUR 476 million 6.375% Subordinated Notes
NN Group announced today that it will redeem the outstanding aggregate principal amount of EUR 476,290,000 of the 6.375% Fixed to Floating Rate Subordinated Notes due 2027 (ISIN: XS0147306301) pursuant to the terms of the Subordinated Notes set forth in the prospectus dated 2 May 2002. The Subordinated Notes will be redeemed in full in accordance with the terms on the first call date which is 7 May 2017. The redemption price payable for the Subordinated Notes on the redemption date is 100% of the outstanding aggregate principal amount of the Subordinated Notes, plus accrued and unpaid interest as at the redemption date. LUXEMBURG (AFN) - De werkloosheid in de eurozone is in februari weer iets verder teruggelopen. Dat meldde het Europees statistiekbureau Eurostat maandag.
In februari had 9,5 procent van de beroepsbevolking in de eurolanden geen betaalde baan, tegen 9,6 procent in januari. Daarmee bleef de graadmeter steken op het laagste niveau sinds mei 2009. In februari vorig jaar bedroeg de werkloosheid nog 10,3 procent. Eurostat telde ruim 15,4 miljoen werklozen in de muntunie.
