Océ UK has launched a new service aiming to minimise the environmental impact of its business by focusing on energy consumption.
'Green Services' will target medium and large companies that work with Océ Business Services on long-term contracts for on-site document services.

The digital press manufacturer will complete an energy audit, which includes the calculation of CO2 emissions, recommendations for sustainable improvements and the supply of environmentally friendly consumables.

Bron Curley, managing director of Océ UK, said that realistic environmental costs benefits are still high on the company's agenda.

"Integrating sustainability into our offering has become one of our key priorities," he said.

"We recognise our corporate duty to help manage our clients’ environment and it is essential to support their green business goals."

The launch of Green Services follows on from a project with pharmaceutical company Pfizer, in which Océ provided outsourced managed services.

So far, the new service is being rolled out for printroom, office fleet printers, mailroom, records management, creative services and print management, with other areas to follow.
